So excited! I just got a Tarpon 100 with paddle for $200 this afternoon! Got some scratches on the hull, but otherwise in excellent shape!

I'd bought a 17' canoe a little over a year ago with the intention of doing some paddling and fishing with my wife, but although she really enjoys fishing and boating, she found canoing a little unnerving. :( Anyway, a couple weeks ago she finally recommended I swap the canoe for a kayak so I can go out by myself (the canoe's a bit much for me to transport alone), and I found what seemed to be a great deal on Craigslist.

Been a while since I've been on the water and there's a lot of backwater areas I'm dying to explore/camp, so I'm very excited. Hope to post some adventure pictures in the near future!

What a deal! You'll love the convenience. Great little boat.

that's an AMAZING deal on a Tarpon! (no matter what length!)

you won't believe how much better that hull design paddles....they are worth their premium prices.

congrats!

Sounds like yea got a good deal! Hey I would keep that canoe if you have the space, it's paid for. You never know when you might want to use it or go out with some friends or family.

great deal...I have a T-120 and T-100...you can't beat that yak for fishing. That size is great for small creeks...I use my T-100 much more than the T-120. It will seem tippy when you first start using it....But after you get used to it you will be able to stand and cast from it....The red yak in my avatar is my T-100.

Mjh is right ....keep the canoe ....its the ticket for a cool weather float!!!!!!
