Hey everyone I just bought a kabar dozier folder from tomars.

I wanted to ask you guys what the quality and durability of these little folders were?
Pics and comments welcome.

I've got the small and regular orange ones with thumb studs. So far I really like them. The small will fit in a tin. They came very sharp and have stayed that way. No side to side play in the blade. I will more than likely get a few more down the road.

I own the small and the reg. Gave away a slew of them over the holidays, everyone loves them. Good durable lightweight folders.

I have the green Dozier Hunter folder. Love it. Used it quite often, and it held it's edge well. Thin, and light weight. I have since replaced it's daily carry with a Camper SAK, since the SAK looks a little less "threatening". It doesn't look threatening to me, but most people think nothing when you pull an SAK out. Anyways, pics:

They are really nice for what they are. The price is low but the steel quality is good. They aren't going to stand up to the level of abuse that some sturdier folders could take, but for around $20 - who cares?

They take and hold a great edge - can't go wrong.

thing I like about mine is it doesn't weigh much, so when I'm at work in my Chefs pants with no belt, it isn't noticeable.

I just recently got one. I really like it. No problems at all. Good steel, good feel, good design, great price.

Price is hard to beat. That's the way I looked at it when I bought it, if it sucked, it was only $20, but if it didn't, which is the case, then I got a great knife for the money.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Been carying it eveery day since bringing it home. So far I have been very pleased with it. A great value at $20.00.

My mom needed a folder - gave her one just like that. If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is. :)

I have one in every color... The pink one is in my wife's purse! Great EDC knife for the money. I found them online for about $16.97 each.

I have a mini orange that rides in my pack 100% of the time. It's so light I use it as my backups backup. I got a pink one for my mom last christmas. She's a nurse and she says she uses it every day. Great knives for the price! And they are very lightweight.

I have two of the small hunters and they're excellent knives for the money. My only complaint is the pocket clip on each knife is so tight that it is difficult to slip the knife on my pants pocket or pull it off without abrading my pants material.

I have two of them. The regular and small one. I have used both for the last two deer seasons and the have been great. Very sharp straight out of the box. They are easy to sharpen and are well make. I have bought one for my wife and she loves it. I am going to get a couple of more for gifts this year. I feel for the price it is one of the best deals I have made on a (factory) knife in a long while.

I'm really glad I found this thread. Where is it you all are sayin you bought these?

I picked one up in maybe 2007 from the MCX for like $15.00. It was my favorite EDC knife, thin and lightweight with a serious blade of quality steel. I carried it both in and out of the military, until it was lost by a friend while she was cleaning out her car a few months ago.

Since then I've gone through 4 or 5 different knives trying to find something to take its place as I've not been about to find a replacement. Thanks for starting a thread on this awesome knife.

btw mine had the open thumb hole, does the screw get in the way while sharpening?

Somebody on here has my old one.. Can't remember who bought it though.. Either MtnManJoe or IamLegend.. LOL

I bought these for my two step sons and my two boys.. Great little workhorses...

That would be me bro lol. It's in my pocket right now. I've bought and traded for quite a few folders since then and it has found its way back to my pocket each time. It's even taken the place of my beloved Kershaw most days.
