I recieved my Kelty Falcon 4000 pack today, super fast service! I ordered it Wednesday I think.
Anyway, nice pack. I went for the coyote brown, looks very good. I have not had more than a lookover so far but everything I see is well done. I would have liked a hydration bladder pocket inside centered, instead of 2 pockets along each side. There are a few other things I would have done if I was designing the pack, but for the price it is an excellent buy and I can live with it as is.
It came with fairly detailed directions for fitting the pack and fitting it is easy to accomplish. Materials are good, no issues I can find. The suspension is simple and probably very effective, not over engineered. I can see this as the perfect size for 3 or 4 nights out, except for maybe a heavy winter load.
Overall, so far I am very pleased with the pack for $110 shipped! I will let you all know how it does on my next overnight hike.
I feel it is a keeper and if it is like my very old Kelty, it'll be around a long, long time.
