Anybody suffering from a lack of snow? All the ski resorts in Tahoe are bringing in snow machines. Very strange.

There is definitely a lack of snow here in Spokane. We usually have to wait until mid January or early February anyways, but it teased us early this year. Hoping to get some more soon

Haven't seen any snow here in NH since a freak Halloween snow storm. Some snow in the ski areas of the state but snow machines are running most of the time.

Yep, hating the weather right now. Had a bit of snow but all melted from the warm waves, now the grasses are all showing. And this year was suppose to be epic with la nina and all.

NEED MOAR SNOW :(

My son is making overatures he wants to go on the church ski trip come spring.

if they have snow...lol.

We are having flurries right now, nothing laying though...my wife is not happy...she hates the white stuff in all its forms. But yes, I am suffering from lack of snow, it is my favorite hiking conditions.

I am supposed to go winter camping this year, but it's looking like it might just be frozen dirt.
If we don't get much snow this year, I honestly will not feel too bad. I like the cold but really hate dealing with snow. :39:

Lake Tahoe is supposed to have like 10 foot of snow by now.

We just got some yesterday and the day before. This is odd for West Michigan being that we usually have snow from Thanksgiving until march with the occasional thaw. We only got about 4 inches and I would be willing to trade just about anythign for another foot.

Apparently people weren't prepared for it at all. I watched a lady spin out right in front of me and go in the ditch this morning.

I've got a couple of inches on the ground and it's 14 degrees outside, but its supposed to warm up to 55 in a couple of days. Not like last year where the snow never seemed to end from Thanksgiving almost to Easter.

I don't consider the absence of snow a lack. No suffering here.

This time of Year I would need to wear snow shoes in to The woods , Nothing this year so far! Here is a Snow Dance for TheProfessor !

Not alot here either. Think I heard on the news that our resorts were making snow too. Only have a 24" base. bought the kids and I snowshoes in Oct........still waiting

I'm from Colorado, currently in Wisconsin. We went home to CO for Christmas, and the entire state is way down on it's normal snowpack. The ski areas are really hurting for snow, and, if this keeps up, everyone downstream will be short on water in the spring! Here in WI, we have pretty low snowpack as well, and a warm start to the winter. In the 8 winters we've been here, there have always been ice shacks out on our bay in Lake Superior by January, but not this year!

So yes, we're also in a dry, warm trend so far.

It hasn't snowed where i live (Northern New Jersey Coast) since last winter :(
I dont ski or snowboard, but i like having snow, especially on Christmas (which hasnt happened in years). I like the change of seasons, and how beautiful everything is when there's a thick blanket of snow

Global warming sucks.

Normally this time of year in Central Nevada (at 6300 feet) we have 4" to 24" of snow with temps between +25* down to -10* below zero.

Outside right now it's +52* and no snow :4:. We had about 6" of snow after one storm back in Sept but it only stayed on the ground for about 3 days.

Personally, I'm liking this abnormal weather but I fear we won't have much ground water for the summer to come. The alfalfa farmers here are in a panic since their crops demand a ot of water.

I was.... until we got dumped on non stop for the past 48 hours... Probably not much compared to what you guys get when it storms out there, but I can finally do a snow camping trip!

Because my life demands so much time to snow removal when it happens due to my business it's making life easier. I miss having the blanket of white though. I love having it around myself, though my available woods time will be more this year if the lack of it keeps up. A double edged sword for me.

Here near the Twin Cities of Minnesota we got our second(?) lasting snow on new years eve. Only about 3 inches though and its supposed to melt by friday. The County decided not to plow since its going to melt in a few days but for now were stuck with icy and snow covered roads.

Snow in the Cascades feeds our watersheds on the west side. There hasn't been much snow or rain for that matter. It was an odd December, mostly dry and relatively warm. If the Cascades don't get more snow, there will be talk of water rationing this summer I'm sure.

After a brown rainy Christmas we have finally seen our first real snow of the winter. I'd like to see a lot more, my kids want to ski and I have a winter campout with Scouts in 2 weeks.

Very dissapointed about the lack of snow this year. Seeing as though I live a stones throw away from Buffalo...we should have 70 plus inches by now. I believe we've only had an official accumulation of 4-8inches so far this season!

At Christmas, my grandfather told me that he hasn't seen this little snow, especially no snow by Christmas, in ALL his 85 years!!

Today Kalispell missed breaking a high temperature record set in 1909, by ONE degree!
A mountain behind me has 40" of snow, instead of the 82" it had last year.
We had a Green Christmas. It's a little weird to be thinking of gardening in January! :p
