Not used it.... got it as a last minute gift at my local Academy for someone, 19.99...looks pretty decent, and I've never had any flack from Leatherman in a warranty issue....no sheath but how many of us use the stock sheaths with a multitool anyway?

Wasn't sure to put here or edged forum, personally I don't look at multitools as edged.

I wouldn't buy one just because I think their marketing strategy for it is absurd and kinda stupid. That being said though, Leatherman makes some great stuff and for $20 it is a good deal.

Honestly I didn't look before I wrapped it...I'd assume it is.

meh what isn't made in china honestly...they still have the 25 year deal though

I may be off on this but here is what I gathered about Leathermans Made in US status. Everything but one component is made in America, the file(I think!) is Hecho En Mexico. California passed a law that products sold in California have to be 100% Made in America to have the label. So now instead of having special California packaging, they just removed the Made in US label period. I may be totally wrong, I will go looking.

I was mostly right, but a few parts are foreign.

From a Press Release about a Class Action Lawsuit
A recent Associated Press story about the ruling gave the distinct impression that Leatherman brand multi-tools are, for the most part, made outside the United States. This is false.

The unique California law at issue prohibits companies from selling in California any product represented as "Made in USA" if "any article, unit, or part" of the product was "substantially made, manufactured, or produced outside of the United States." As interpreted by one California judge, the law prohibits a "Made in USA" representation of a product even if the only foreign content in the product is a single screw.

These Leatherman tools were all built and assembled by U.S. workers at U.S. factories using primarily parts made entirely in the United States and some parts processed, in part, in Western Europe, Mexico, or Canada. Unfortunately, Leatherman is not able to procure all of its component parts in the United States because of quality, technological, or economic considerations. But Leatherman Tool Group has never shipped a job overseas, and the company remains committed to keeping and creating as many jobs here as possible.

Interesting. Hell for $20 I'm buying one. More features than my Leatherman Kick, which was $27 a few years ago. The whole Wingman ad thing is pretty dopey though.

I have one in pocket right now, the F&F isn't as good as say, wave, but it's also less than half the price!

You can't go wrong with it, as long as you don't expect miracle out of a $25 tool.

Yes the advertising for this is retarded, but this actually looks like it would make a decent gift, but whats funny is that I can ship two of these from america, for the price that leatherman UK sells them for...
