Funny thing, I also had a bull moose canoe encounter in Algonquin Park!! Nowhere near as extreme as Les though. Mine took place in July (not rut season) and as I came around the bend of a swampy creek there was a bull moose standing in the shallow swamp water eating underwater plants. I was probably ten to fifteen yards from him and it scared the pants off me!! Algonquin Park is a beautiful place and only a few hours drive from my house.
