I love my camelbak stuff. I have a Military issue Thermobak and several of the Better Bottles and I am rarely without one. I found a better bottle recently at the goodwill for $1. I snatched it up despite it not having a bite valve or straw. I got the replacement parts and discovered that the spout was broken. There are two little pivot ears that allow the spout to move and one of those ears was broken off. This 1/4 x 1/4 bit of plastic made this bottle unusable.

Here's the good part. I contacted Camelbak via email and told them the story. What I go tin return was an apology that the product was broken, assurance that this was not up to their standards and an offer of an entire new lid in replacement.

Less than a week later in the mail was my new lid and no I have another fully functioning camelbak bottle. Better yet though, I have confidence in a company that stands behind their wonderful product.

If you ever have the choice between a Camelbak product and a slightly less expensive version may I recommend the Camelbak because they will replace it if ever there is a problem.

while I'm personally still (happily) stuck on my USGI canteen set up....

our family has had GREAT success with the camelbak bottles - the 750ml size seems to be a standard in our cupboard, various duffel bags and sports packs the kids use.

congrats on finding out about the good CS first hand, Friar!

I have tons of camelbak products that have all seen hard use and have yet to fail. It's good to know that if they ever do, they have great customer service to back it up.
