Not bushcrafty but awesome - woodcrafty!

Phil Warren, 79 from the U.K. started making model ships (1:300 scale) at age 17 using only matchsticks, matchboxes, a razor blade, tweezers, sandpaper, glue and paint. To date he's made a fleet of 432 British and American ships and 1200 planes for the aircraft carriers. This is amazing:

I thought that anyone who was a Vet of the Navy, etc. would like to see.

That is really something. It's far beyond any of the model making I did as a kid. I made a fair number of ship models- out of cardboard and duct tape/first aid tape. I would also make them for my brothers. We would launch them from different sides of the pond, and shoot at the "opponents" ships with slingshots using lead sinkers from old trot lines we would find. These certainly put me in my place.

Although I'm not certain, I think they are in a museum. From my info, he is still making the models.

I can foresee one of those planes landing, and the friction from the landing causing one of the matches to light. lol.

One of those is at a museaum here in Baltimore. Not sure if it is the same guy though, but it is a huge model of a ship made out of matches.
