Maybe I need to get sick more often

Between a bad sinus cold, wet weather, and work I've been out of commission the last week. Today my family went to see my in-laws while I slept. I woke up feeling better and a little stir-crazy. So I started looking at some projects that had piled up. Since I had the house to myself I started working. I wood burned and stained a hiking staff, finished two dangler sheaths I made for my Moras, and sanded out and oiled some tool marks on the handle of my new Condor Hudson Bay.

Nice! I'm really liking that hiking staff.

Scott

Thank you, It isn't done yet. Once I copy some Norse poetry into runes I will wood burn it down the sides. And maybe wrap some leather cordage around it in spots. Not the most bushcrafty, but I like to have a hiking staff with some personalty

Well that staff has some personality I must say. Nice work all around.

Sick...your recovery is really working.

Thank you everyone. These are my first attempt at knife sheaths.

Great stuff! I like the Hudson Bay grips!
I didn't do much to them. Once you smooth them out a bit they have a really nice grain to them and the BLO really brings it out

really like the mora sheaths, how long is the Celtic cane?
The cane is 5' tall. It started out as a standard stockman's cane. With all the hills here I really like a crook staff for reaching up and grabbing a tree to pull myself up, or reaching back and letting someone else grab on to be pulled up.

That is some nice work, there!

Bet you felt a lot better afterwards, right?
