I recently picked up one of Snody's Boot/Hunter pattern blanks for $59. It came with a block of walnut so I just decided to go with it because I wanted this build to be on the cheap.

Blade is 5" of 3/16" 154CM that is double shallow hollow ground by Mike. I decided to use black and yellow liners to contrast with the black walnut. Epoxy and Corby rivets plus the knife all totaled about $60. I think that pretty good for a Snody blade! I will probably use this as a field/woods knife. This is probably my 4th or 5th build putting on scales and liners. Getting easier! Now on to the leather.

I appreciate any comments and feedback.

Beautiful job on those scales, looks like a comfortable shape and goes well with the blade. I always love walnut for simple wooden scales.

good contours on the handle - spacers add a nice touch, too.
I looked at those when he offered them up but didn't snag one -- good score!

Great looking Knife

That is a fine knife, but that's what everyone else says. I gotta ask about the carved sticks underneath the knife. Looks like some kind of old, hand-made game. Please explain.

Friartuck,

Those are Celtic Ogham runes used for Scrying. I keep trying to get em to give me a winning lotto number. LoL

I had just missed those selling by like one person ! I'd also like one of his "crisis sale" neckers that are ground on one side. Put my own handles on it....oh yeah !
