I took advantage of nice weather and a long weekend and did some work on my 4" basic bushcraft from condor. I dropped the point to more of a pleasing shape. I also used my dremel and added a concave cutting surface on the inch long ricasso. I really like the improvements. I plan on using the concavity for stripping bark and cleaning up shafts for self arrows. I am also interested in trying for a ferro rod. I added some fir scales (recycled my Christmas tree) to make it look more "at home" here in the west. I messed up on the piolet holes and chipped out a chunk on one of the scales so I may replace the fir with aspen since I prefer the look and fee of it better. Didn't get much of a chance to really test it but so far I am digging this knife way more. Plan on reshaping my 5" one to match. It is a newer model and so the stripper/sparker is out but I still like the blade design.

That's cool. did you rivet the scales on or just glue, it looks like the heads are a little rounded. I have the condor bushlore and have been modifying it too.

They're just riveted on. I wasn't so sure I would be happy with them so I made sure I could take 'em off.
