I posted in another thread about "Just One Knife" and said that I would try to avoid that circumstance. In order not to hijack that thread, I have started this one.
Pictured are the cutting tools that I most use and one that will be joining the group as soon as a new sheath is made for the GB and the JK Kephart. The Sugar Creek psk will have a sidesaddle sheath on both. Haven't used it yet.

The GB, Farmer, and the Kep are the three that are usually with me whil I add the Voyager if hunting or fishing will be the main focus of an outing.

Not all are used every time but one of my Farmers and the Kep are 90% of the time.

What is your must-take combo if you can avoid the One knife scenario. Not what you would like to have but what you already own and use. (Don't want to encourage rampant buying here :) )

Regards,

Yeah, but I'm gonna see everyone Else's and then rampant buying shall ensue >.< Mora #2 Classic, Becker BK9, good folding saw and a Leatherman if that counts. Very occasionally a lightly modded CS Vietnam Tomahawk if I feel like playing around throwing it or something.

This is my favorite trio

The setup I've been using for while:

JLT Bushcrafter
SAK Swiss Tool
Hults Swedish surplus boys axe OR Hults hatchet, depending on conditions
Plus the little Turley Silver Creek in my PSK

I really like this combo, although I admit to rolling/dinging the edge of the JLT several times.

Here is what I use most. Excuse the bad picture, its dark out at the moment and have no other current pictures.

Sugar Creek Knife Works matched pair Bushcrafter (larger) and Canessie (smaller)

Rough Rider 4 bladed folder, spey and spear point blades, large and small

Leatherman PST multi-tool

Trail hawk in the background, forgot to include it better.

I carry the Bushcrafter when I am camping or fishing, everything else I normally carry daily.

In the fall/winter/early spring it is these two along with my trusty Victorinox Hiker that is always in my pocket.

My Wetterlings and my Fallkniven F1.

In late spring/summer I usually leave the Wetterlings at home. My F1 and SAK work just fine in warm weather.

Oh come on; Three Turleys, really!?!

Joking, that's a hell of a trio you have there. I think the SERE has been the subject of more lust for me than any other blade I've seen or wanted to purchase. I've been considering pawning the title to my truck so I can place my name on the waiting list :D

my victorinox hunts man is my edc.. and my absolute take everywhere knife
ironically I don;t have a pic of it accept for this one where the blade is visible in the upper right hand corner LOL

my gen purpose bushcraft knife for carving and tinder prep, fine work, and fish and game tasks is a mora, For the past year its been a carbon companion MG

for most situations I use a camp knife in lieu of an axe Love axes, but honestly I don;t do much chopping, I would say that during the first few hours of every trip though the camp nife does the bulk of the work it;s been a Camillus made bk9 most consistantly though

The Tracker is my goto woodsman tool
The Sugarcreeks are my BSA event knives
BK2's just rock!

Lots o beckers in here...really dig that.

For me
BK9 or bk7 with a bk11 piggy backed on my belt
Jk ky fieldmate around neck
Buck 346 or sak hiker or svord peasant in my pocket
Cs modded riflemans hawk or fiskars hatchet or cs kuhkchete in my pack

Ill trade manage the extra weight for multiple cutting tools. Tbh, i usually take more w me to camp but those are my regulars

A combination of a couple of these is normally in my pack.

Usually a variation of a machete( on pack) a 4"-5" fixed and a small folder. I also have a spare Vic Hiker and a Gerber multitool in my pack. I have quite a few quality blades so it varies a lot. On shorter hikes on trails around the lake I grab my trusty BK7 and a slippie. I will try and add some pics tomorrow.

I always carry a Cold Steel 12in barong machete and a knife that my grandpa made(yes its 440c but it keeps and holds a nice edge and its got a whole lot of sentimental value to me).
When im going on an extended trip its that duo and my cold steel riflemans hawk. Plus a couple other knives in my pack(Cold steel roach belly and another of my grandpas knives).

I always take these. The Reeves usually rides in My ruck untill a larger knife is needed. The PMoore Is my goto camp knife, the Opinel is used for food prep and with the firesteel, it really throws a spark. Not shown is a Victorinox locking Trekker in the pouch with the reeves.

I would never go into the woods with only one knife/tool. I always take 3 or 4 different size knives with me. The smallest is a large CS AK-47, the biggest is my Kukri. The AK is the only folder in my pack the rest are all sheath knives. I carry a Mora or a CS Canadian Belt knife and either one of my CS True Flight Thrower or my Black Jack Mamba.

My Hunter's axe almost always goes. When it gets truly cold, I take the Skadinavian axe. But if I'm hunting, I take the Hunter's as well.

I don't take the hawk or Jarvenpaa knives much.

The bottom is a Helle Viking and always goes. I had a Busse for a while, and while it outperformed the Viking a good bit, everything it did well, I can do accomplish with my Hunter's axe, and end up doing less work in the process, as I let the weight of the axe do most of the work. I like the Helle a lot, so I kept it and sold the Busse.
