This little project took me much longer than I thought. Anyway, I've had this machete for a couple of years and I never take it out because I've never had a safe way to carry it. I know the sheath I made isn't practical but I wanted to practice on this style. The reality is it will most likely just get strapped to my pack or in my pack.

Not sure what the leather was/is since it's a scrap that was given to me but my guess is 7-8oz. I know it's too thin but remember this was just practice. I know I made a bunch of mistakes but live and learn, right?

If you made any mistakes your camera work hid them! That looks like a fine sheath, practice or not and should last a long while. Put on your hip and take a hike!

You did a great job on that bro... nice work!
