I was looking around at Hazard Fraught yesterday, and I discovered that they carry a “new” knife... a Gordon 6” Bowie Knife, for around 25$ (US). From what I could see through the packing, it looks to be a decent knife for the money, with an included leather sheath.

Anyone bought one yet ?

Haven't seen this one. I think I'll pass. I don't think I'll be experimenting with budget knives for a while unless I know the brand has a solid reputation. Not my place to tell anyone not to buy anything, but I'd just save up another $30 and get an actual Buck 119 Special at Walmart for $50 bucks. They were on sale not long ago for $35, which is a fantastic deal.

Send one to the Dutch Bushcraft Knife guys they will sort it out

Never got the point in those types of knives. They tend to cost more than a good morakniv also.
you get a free pass on this one because your not American, the bowie knife is deeply ingrained in American culture just as the morakniv is to yours . read up on Rezin Bowie and his brother at the sandbar fight if your interested. unfortunately this cheap bowie knife shown is just a poor reconstruction of the real thing. they are actually very well suited to hunting and outdoor things as well as fierce self defense weapons .

I don't do to Harbor Freight for outdoors knives. Lol. I'm mixed on this... a genuine Buck isn't much more expensive, but there's also people not as well off as I am. The pattern is iconic, and easily recognized. I also own a couple Chinese made knives that are decent. On the whole, if I were buying a fixed blade, clip point hunter, I'd get the genuine article. If I were buying something to fuss with, and very likely abuse, I'd get the cheapie.

I love bowies. What I meant was, why would you buy a bad knife, a copy of a good knife, for more money than an actual good knife.

I’d just buy the buck 119 either way. About $30 more isn’t enough for me to consider the cheapo even for abuse. If I’m broke I wouldn’t buy either. There’s quite a few ways I could come up with to get that additional $$ if I needed to.
