Wow, I come back after 4 days and find the new posts of BUSA takes up 11 pages. I wish I can view them all right off the bat and it will take me a day or two.
I hope everybody has taken advantage of some of their off time for some woods fun this holidays. One of my buddies invited me to his cottage for New Year's eve. Usually I have to do some dinner formality thing but this time my wife was up for it and I jumped at the chance. Plus, I'm going to be up in this area in two weeks time for some serious bushcraft so I was nice to scope things out. New Year's day was 4oC, very warm and melty. The ice I was walking on in a small lake in front of my friends cottage actually produced a big hole the next day from all the rain and slush. Obviously, ice is not very solid yet. Still, hanging around S. Ontario I must admit to having much snow envy this holidays. The New Year's day lost much of it where we were at, but there was enough to make me feel like I was in winter wonderland again. Cold snap is coming tonight though. YEAH!
New Year's Eve involving drinking several bottles of wine including a 15 year Chatenuef du Pape that was smoother than butter....And a bottle of 15 year old scotch....I guess we were just into 15 year olds that night
......Needless to say, head hurt during the up hill climbs!
