Not a camping trip, just a short walk through Goose Creek State Park. It's located on the shores of the Pamlico River in Beaufort County NC. The temperature for New Years Day was in the mid 60's with a SW breeze. Nice day. I hate the heat and humidty of ENC in the summer but I have to admit that the winters are nice. I took my dog, Saydee ( I didn't choose the spelling) and let her go for a swim. I usually go down there during the week and have the park all to myself, but today it was packed and the Rangers were out, so I had to follow the rules and keep her on a leash. Sucks for her, but she liked what little swimming she did. A good way to start the year.
