So armed with only a old hickory kitchen knife and a sense of adventure I headed out to the back yard. I found some dead wood and proceeded to baton (did I use the right word here?) it in to smaller pieces of wood. Then I went ahead and made some feather sticks. So now I am all set to make a fire. But first I need a fire pit. I had a great time.
