Hey guys, I have a friend who found a Camillus Pilots Survival knife in an old house and is looking to sell it online. I'm trying to find out an approximate value before I help him put it up for sale and was wondering if any of you guys knew how much they typically go for.
The knife is in over-all great condition, looks to have been sharpened maybe a few times and the leather handle is in good shape despite it's age. The pommel is stamped 1-1967, Camillus, NY.
I've checked E-bay and see what a few of them are going for, but am unsure if those are greatly over-priced, average or reasonable. Ideas?

Did you check to see the completed listings on EBay? That usually gives an idea for what people were actually willing to buy them for

The Vietnam era pilot knives are quite collectable. Camillus being more desirable than the other makers. I have seen prices from the 10s of dollars to the 100s of dollars. They are a good knife I have an old Ontario pilot knife I still use. Good luck, Did some checking, several 1967 knives sold on Ebay between $125 and $200

I just checked as well and saw those. Very good too know.
I love the feel and look of the knife, and after handling it so much it's starting to grow on me. I may just buy it from him myself.

Thanks guys

Oh, don't fool with EBAY for that old thing. Just have him
send it to me and I'll dispose of it properly for him! :D

Hey, Sunlover!

Been a while since I've seen you last!

Good to hear you're snagging nice knives still:)

Chinook, the AF knives have full length stick tangs that screw into the pommel nut.

Whenever I'm able :D

I have a shoddy, unstable internet connection, so I don't get to post here nearly as much as I'd like; borrowed wi-fi is'nt very dependable, lol.
