Pallet garden for small places

Came accross this today, thought it had some merit, I can see a a salad and herb garden like this, close to the back door......

That's quite a cool idea! Could maybe do some tomatos like that, too.
 
That is super cool. However, if you attempt this, be sure and read the linked article, which directs you to information to verify that you are using a pallet that is heat treated instead of one treated with toxic pesticides.

Good point, and I think a drainage try would be in order as well....just to keep the watering mess to a minimum.
 
I showed this article to the wife. She loved the idea. Soon we are going to get some pallets and get one of these going.

Great find!!!

We live in a rental and they aren't keen on us putting in a normal garden. This seems like a pretty slick solution for herbs and the likes.
