Paring Knife to Spoon Knife

Had this broken paring knife in the drawer for ages got bored this morning so heated it up with torch bent it over a piece of round stock(well a socket extension), by no means perfect but works ok. Wish it's been a little bit longer.

yep, it's kinda small but I hated seeing it in the drawer anymore
 
That's funny, I just picked up an Old Hickory a couple days ago for exactly that! Good job.

I tried this with an old hickory and ended up breaking the blade. I worry about the temper of the steel after hte heating/cooling process. let us know how it holds it's edge.
