One of our Midewiwinini (Medicine Man of the Grand Medicine Society) here on the reserve has got liver cancer. Last I heard it was 50% cancer count. I just found out from his nephew Ethan on Monday, and have been working non-stop to try to help.

The Midewiwin (Grand Medicine Society) has arrived from Minnesota, and have been performing ceremony and dosing him with medicines since yesterday morning. I am getting ready to go over to help in any way I can with the ceremonies tonight.

His name is Terry Rogers. If you could hold him in your prayers, I know quite a few people would appreciate it.

Gitchi-Miigwetch. Thank you so much

Prayer on the way, my friend.

Thank you everyone.

Terry was saying how great he felt all of yesterday after a lot of the ceremonies and medicines the Midewiwin gave him. Last night it was a time of singing for him. It was beautiful. I had to do a lot of errands for them, as everyone had accidentally blocked everyone else in except for my four-wheeler. So I did not stay around to sing for him, but stood and helped anywhere I could. I heard back from his nephew Ethan, who said that the ceremony went on into the night after I left (around 9pm), and everyone felt strong and happy, including Terry.

Hopefully this becomes an upward climb. Thank you all. Sincerely.
