Went out this morning cause it was supposed to be cold and rainy and I find some of my favorite times out doors is relaxing under a tarpo hootch while its raining. So I hiked out hoping to do Iz's fire in the rain challenge but the rain didnt start till I was about ready to light the feathers so while I lit the fire in the rain it didnt count oh well Ill give er a go again later

Thanks that was a bamboo cutting board I was trying out and I thought it would be a good base to baton on turns out its not I broke it in half so it became a cooking platform haha

Good show Kerri.

The old throw the stick to get your dog outta the way trick, works every time;)

That area looks like it would be seriously fun to beat around in. I wish we had pines up this way.
Dig it, man.

Looks like a good time Kerri, and I'm glad you have an awesome bush buddy like Cody to share it with... you can tell he loves being out there with you, even in the rain :)

I had the same trouble with the split wood fire in the rain a couple of times too - it's surprisingly hard to get it to rain on purpose when you're out in the woods huh?

Its cause I sent him some fatwood with a pretty red bow tied around it haha he has seen the awesomness of the fat wood. The mest is pretty great small enough to fit anywhere and plenty big enough to hang out under in the rain

It's his dirty little secret, shhh, don't tell anyone.

Lol. I committed the highest hardwoodsman crime last night. My wife wanted to make a fire in her little outdoor mexican thing so I used the fat wood with the pretty bow to light it.

Thats a crime well crap Im a criminal I threw those two big chunks of fatwood in the fire place a little bit ago haha

If I had fatwood here I'd be doing all kinds of crazy stuff with it. It's pretty cool stuff.

And that's how it starts...
Heh. I've got fatwood and birch bark coming out of my ears. People send it all the time. Buncha comedians.
If it was natural here I'd dang sure use it. But since it's not, I don't.
