Anyone has a pre 2004 schrade 7OT folding knife they would be willing to part with? I used to have one years back and would love to get another one. Would like one for my EDC if I can find one in pretty good condition.

Got a picture or link to what you are looking for ?

Yep :). They were also known as old timer knives, but after 2004 they dropped in popularity because they are now made overseas. I'm looking for one in good condition to use as my hunting and game folder. Pre 2004 of course lol.

I have a older fixed blade Schrade Badger hunting knife from a guy here in MN. I think he lives up by St. Cloud. I found his site after searching for the old USA made knives. Any way he has web site. Here it is.

Yea sadly on the 100 year anniversary they deserted us like so many other companies have.

Essentially bankrupt from bad management, got bough out by a holding company. No one left who cared about customers, just wanted a brand name to use for Chinese made stuff at American prices.

The wooden scaled version was marketed as the Uncle Henry Bear Paw. It was a mighty fine knife. IMO it was a better knife than the Buck 110 or any of the Case shark knives (Shark Tooth, Hammerhead, Mako). I carried one for years back in the 80s. I can't tell you how many times my teachers used to borrow it to cut things while in school. I gave it to my dad to use on a fishing trip and he lost it. He replaced it, but by that time they were being made overseas and there was a very definite difference in the production quality.

If you find a source for older models, please share. I wouldn't mind having one again.
