I was lucky enough to be able to purchase a knife that I have wanted to try out for some time.

A Ray Laconico Woods Knife..This knife is a full flat grind in 1/8

I sawed off a length of seasoned cottonwood to do a little fire prep using my knife.

No problems battoning with the 1/8 thick blade.

The spine is super sharp, I don't usually make scrapings, but I had to try the spine out for that job.

I just built a tiny fire, the only reason I made one was because I wanted to play with the knife a bit.

This area is never under water, but because of all the rain, it looks like a pond!

Scout and I walked home, it sucks not having a car!

Good times! No car? Thanks for taking us along, Donk.

Nice looking knife and great pics brother sucks about the car

Well that's just about perfect for a field blade. His work is amazing and always so practical for field use. Maybe some day. Great pics - thanks for sharing.

PS: you might have to bring your figure skates next time. Little dusting in the cold :)

Always good to get out for some dirt time. Even if it's just an excuse to play with a new knife and build a fire.

Looks like a real good time with a good friend and nice blade. How can you go wrong.

Very cool bro, glad you got out. Its gotta suck being at the mercy of someone else for rides. Especially this close to the baby. Hope ya find something soon man. NICE Laconico!!!! Ray makes a nice knife. Be carefull ya dont pull a Skab on that tip though...It looks SHARP! Looks a bit colder up your way. I was outside in shorts a little while ago. lol

Good stuff bro.

Love Ray's knives... I have 2. I'm sure it's totally different than your Turley but still a very capable knife.

That's a good looking knife, brutha.
Sorry you got no ride yet.

That's a nice blade Joe. I like it! Never thought to use the sharpened spine to scrap with. Will have to try that one.

Ray's knives have a scary sharp spine that begs to be used for making scrapings.

Always good to stretch the legs and play with some toys. Thanks for sharing.

I like the fact that not having a car didn't stop you from going out with Scout.. Great job brother
