I've been trying to develop tea kit for deer hunting that is lighter and smaller than my other cook kits (Swedish Army Trangia cook kit OR a spirit Trangia with a 12 cm Zebra pot and an ultralight pot stand).
My deer hunting tea kit is built around a GSA Glacier cup or olicamp Space saver cup with a homemade leather cozy and IAWOODMANs style coffee can lid. I used to use a super cat stove but, I wanted something more efficient. Now I use another spirit trangia. I have been struggling to find or make a small pot stand that can fit inside the cup along with the trangia spirit burner to save space during transport. I have used Hiram Cook's 3 nails and I have used a cut up tomato sauce can. Unfortunately you can't use the simmer/snuffer rings with these. Finally, I saw a photo of a wicked simple pot stand that is made of 1/4" steel rod in the shape of a three dimensional "C". It works great is light and stable.
Unfortunately I can't find the original photo so I improvised.
What do you all think??
