Kelly. Max, and I were doin' some travelin' this last Christmas and I haven't got around to thanking my friend for the unexpected Christmas gift. Thanks man. There wasn't any note or anything. That's the way he is. Hey... here ya go...

I'm bettin' it's homemade. Like his AWESOME beer. Wish all of you could meet the big guy. He's a founding father of the Kracanuener Tribe.

Looks like a cool gift from the tall one. Have you figured out what scents you have there?

I am liking that little Marbles compass. I gave a few them out for Christmas.

I'm hoping he'll (SIXFOOTER) jump in tonight and talk a little about it.
The compass was a gift from Theron714. Good buddy of, oh man, 20 years or so. He'll be at an upcoming campout fer shur.

This tribe is soooo cool.

Hey Tony, glad it got to you ok. I have been on the road for 2 weeks and haven't had much oportunity to get in here.
The top one is Oatmeal Complexion soap, no scent
The round white one is Balsom Fr Needls and Cedarwood, nice smellin general soap
The green one is Rosemary, good smelling stuff that can cure some skin conditions
Round Brown is Carmelized Goats Milk, no scent. Good for the skin
The bottom one is Conmeal and Cedarwood , great hand washing soap

I was supposed to be back home next week, but the company decided to send me to Texas to get that project on track, I'll be here a couple months. But at least I have network access again.
Enjoy the soap and let me know what you think about it, I am seriously concidering marketing the stuff

Sixfooter how long have you been making soap? What would be the easiest way to get started? I was thinking about trying to get my wife into it. What kind of skin conditions is that one soap good for? Looks good.

Hey Chris;
best way to get started is to start reading, there are 1000's of recipes on the web and lots of books out there too. I started a couple years ago, kind of a lot to know depending on how deep you want to get in it.
Give me a call sometime, be happy to walk you through it. The Rosemary soap besides just being a nice shower bar can also help things like itchy, flaky scalp, all my soaps are "Fat" which means they have lots of emolients and stuff for moisturising skin and the like.

Sixfooter got me making soap. My first batch just hit 6 weeks and is really surprisingly good. Oatmeal will be cured by the end of next week.

I'm up to my 7th batch, including shaving soap that has bentonite clay in it "o)

If you start with a tried and true recipe, good ingredients, and follow the simple instructions it's pretty simple, the understanding comes as you learn what is going on in the process. I haven't screwed up any yet but that will change once I start pushing the boundaries of my knowledge.

Wait a minute, I thought Madmax went into the bush for weeks on end and had no use for soap. My images of you have been shattered Madmax. :)

Very nice gift indeed. So many talented people around here.

Actually it's probably the opposite. I've seen him bathe on several occasions in the river. Soap and everything. Not like I was watching or anything. Just sayin'. Backing away now. :54:
