I recently acquired a team leader survivor so why not do a little review.
My first impressions of the knife were mixed. I liked how sharp it was, how comfortable it felt in the hand and the thin flat grind. I really didn't like how lightweight it was, didn't inspire much confidence just holding it and the sheath is kinda cheesy.
Here is the knife and sheath. Sorry for the lousy pic.
I'm not sure the thickness of the blade(calipers broke). It's definetly thinner than I'm used to, here's a pic of the blade flexing.
The saw works great. Didn't take much time to saw through this tree stump.
It worked excellently(is that a word? lol) for making trap parts. Even though I use sawback knives frequently I still got myself a couple times with it.
I made good enough shavings with it(skill I need to work on).
Impressions after using: The saw worked great, the thin blade is an awesome slicer. Taught me not to judge a knife before I use it. It won't be replacing my Randall anytime soon but I'm more than happy to add it to my stable of survival knives.
