So this weekend my wife and I were at Walmart picking up some ammo for some weekend plinking. While I was paying, my wife was standing by the knife case. When I finished I walked over to see what she was looking at. She pointed one out and kind of self consciously said she liked it. I ended up having the clerk pull out 5 or 6 knives for my wife to look at. She settled on a Ken Onion CRKT Ripple. I was so proud if her. She played with it (flipper design is new to her) most the trip in the car.

Good luck keeping her fed with a supply of knives now. My wife did something very similar years ago with both knives and guns. It ended up costing me a lot of money since. I even have had to sacrifice a lot more often from my wish list because hers continues to grow also. This is a double edged sword. It's great that they get into it, but it sucks to have to pay for it.

Oh god I'd go back to eating ramen every night if I could get my wife halfway near as interested in things that are sharp and/or go boom as I am. She likes shooting my .22s but refuses to get one of her own.

my wife just told me she now wants a folder with a pocket clip to have on her....weirded me out. ive gotta have her look at some spyderco blades now

When your wife likes blades and guns, it costs more, sure. But you get very little static about buying a new toy, as long as she gets one similar . :)

Work with it, it is all good.

LOL. Guys that gave me more to think about. In the car we were discussing where our tax return is gonna go. It looks like I get a .22 and she gets her Conceal carry and a .380. We both get toys now!

It is so great to be able to share this stuff with people who get it.

My Wife has just about as many knives as I do.
Heck - For Christmas I even got her a Kukri (because she wanted it - and will actually use it)

Great Story GMScooter . My Wife Has A SAK Farmer, and I got her Own Mora 511 she wants a pink SHEATH!!

Mainwoods, guess you get to learn how to make kydex sheaths!

Greatone, I'm getting pretty relaxed with it. She's one in a million.

I cheated. A few years back, I had been working a ridiculous amount of overtime and could afford to splurge a bit. I picked up a Ruger .22, brought it home and gave it to her. She loved it and wants to go out every time we can, now.

Before we got married, I slowly replaced all the junk knives she had by showing her my toys or stuff in display cases from time to time.
When she really liked one, I'd trade her for one of the junk ones and tossed them in a box or trashed them if they were really bad.

When she kept borrowing my Leatherman, I bought her a SOG because the gearing gave her better control. It's lived in her purse from then on and she still brings up how much she likes having it every time she uses it. :dblthumb:

Guys can be sneaky too! Glad women have not caught on yet. :51:

It worked well enough that she never batted an eye when I mentioned wanting to get an AK. She encouraged me, even!

So long as the bills are paid and the kids are fed, we never have an issue over new toys.

I tell ya, I love this woman!!!

Bought my wife a Harley...

Fortunately, she has a good-paying job, because I don't and accessorizing 2 Harleys can get expensive!
