I have one of these already and I have to say it is an awesome bag. Great quality, Made in the USA and bombproof. I happened to see another one of these on ebay the other day and put in a really low bid not expecting to win it but somehow I did, so I won another awesome bag for 30.00 bucks. Sorry just wanted to brag about an awesome deal. Here's a quick picture. The one I have now is OD (obviously) and the one I won is CB so now I have both of my favorite colors, but I'm pretty sure my fiance has claimed the new one.

I have one in Woodland Camo... I picked it up at a surplus store going on 7-8 years ago. Got it for $20. I still have friends mad at me to this day because of that...

Good score on your CB one.

I eventually want to get another in OD green myself.

wow - I had no idea they were going for that low now. They really are awesome packs!

congrats on your score - and probably more for a fiance' that wants one! :)

I had THE Pack, replaced it with a Kifaru Zulu with pals belt. Needed the extra cargo and weight capacity. If I was in the market for a day pack or overnighter THE Pack is certainly worth looking at for size and very good quality. But it didn't work for me for a multiday/bushcrafting/backcountry grouse hunt pack

If your looking to sell it, please let me know. I'd buy it with the understanding you need get a profit from the deal. The pack I'm using on this deployement is falling apart on me (Tru-Spec) at the shoulder straps and a side seem blew. I need something better!!!

I have that exact pack at home. I use it for everything up to a long weekend or more if I can pack it right. Planning to add some externals when I get back to expand it's utility. I have had mine for almost 9 years now and it's still great shape

I must be doing something wrong....I used to be of the mind these were several hundred dollar packs. On the level of Eagle or ATS Raids (well, ok, not quite a RAID :) )

but you guys' good deals sent me to Ebay - all I saw was what I used to see - these packs are still very expensive.

You got some kind of SCREAMIN' deal on these! (or what am I missing?)

I'm hoping they didn't get the knock-offs at that price.

New THE packs go for close to $200 from Spec-Ops.

THE pack

No I paid a good amount for the one I have now and the one I just bought is still new with tags I just think it slipped by everyone elses radar on ebay. So I just got an amazing deal. I really wasn't expecting to get it.

Well, good on you, man, you stole that thing!

You can get some screaming deals on evilBay if an auction ends at the "wrong" time.

I'm ashamed of telling people what I paid for my Kifaru.

Mine is genuine Spec-ops brand... I can take a pic of the inner label. LOL.

The guy at the surplus store evidently didn't know what he had.

that's a bomber price for $99.
I'd so packed up right now it's nuts...still...I could put it up... :)

but I am gonna email some buddies who are just got home from the sandbox.
THE pack is on the level with early Eagle Indus, ATS RAID's, and TT stuff...
or at least it used to be.

at least to me...$99 is pretty dirt cheap for this pack. 2 of my buddies that I emailed couldn't believe it.
They ordered and passed the info to other guys in their unit immediately.

the price the OP got on ebay isn't a buy...it's a steal. :54:

I have a black Spec Ops The Pack as well.

Great pack with a great warranty:4:

I've always thought they were cool, but I don't understand why you'd want to take one, when there are far lighter packs available. Why?

I appreciate the versatility of the PALS/MOLLE webbing. Also it will hold those additional items that my Finn Bag doesn't quite have the room for, my plastic tarp, casualty blanket, woobie, etc, while still having quick access to some go to items in the compartments. That's what did it for me, as well as a lifetime guarantee and made in USA.

Yea, but not all of us care about a little weight on our backs. Ultra-light is not everyones thing.

I got two of them in 2005 at the MCX at Camp Ramadi... $89 I think.... Mine's Desert Tan... I carry the thing evrywhere, in all manner of conditions... What a great pack... My Stepson commandeered the second pack... if it's possible to treat a bag worse than I do, He's the prime suspect! LOL... It fits well as an Airline Carry on, too.

Mine is gonna be hangin on my shoulders when I fly for the M.E. i a couple hours....

You guys got a great deal on the real deal....LOL
