Location
The Pine Tree State
Yesterday I spent some time scouting around the local woods for potential spots to call or hunt varmints. It is tough in southern Worcester county Massachusetts. The predators are spread out and from what the presenter told me at the Bass Pro seminar you need to find some open areas. Open areas are hard to find in my locale.

So I got the idea that maybe hunting over a beaver pond is the way to go. I cleared a bit of a shooting lane down a beaver slide and I intend to set up a bait location across the pond. It could also be a great set up for a Spitfire call( Hopefully I can sell a couple of things at a gunshow this coming weekend so I can get a Foxpro Spitfire. At the seminar I can see how a good wireless e caller is the way to go)

Here is an image of my spot.

Now I know there are predators in the area. I have seen red fox as well as coyote within one quarter of a mile in this location. Last winter I saw red fox tracks on the snow covered ice. Recently I have images of coyote on trail cameras. To me it would be a matter of time before they would discover the bait site.

Two questions my friend, what town is that scene in, and where's there a local gun show this weekend.
I didn't know there was any varmiting opportunities in the area, and the only local gun show that I know of since Foxboro closed down is the Marlboro show, and I thought that was in February some time ?

Thank's for any info you might share.
