I recently made some knifes from a 3 piece Paula Deen knife set from Chinamart so I needed to make some sheaths for all of them.
The leather is from the same scrap bag I got from Hobby Lobby. Contact cement to glue the seams together, holes marked with a fork and drilled with 1/16" bit, then Sewn together using waxed mending twine using a saddle stitch.
The Large sheath is cut from one piece of leather which was tricky, i was surprised i didn't screw it up being my first knife sheath.
The next to be made was the Neck Sheath. I still need to figure out what to use for a neck loop to attach to it.
Last up is the simple sheath made for the Hook Spoon knife. Just used contact cement and 2 rivets to hold it together and a snap closer.
I waxed all of them using a 80% parafin 20% bees wax inside and out. Used an acid brush to paint on the wax and a plastic spoon to drip inside and moved it around and poured out the left over.
Once they dried, I took a hair dryer to them and moving it around I kept the heat on until the leather started to look dry. Took off the heat and stuck all the knifes into the Sheaths so they would dry properly. I used some spring clamps to squeeze the leather tight where I wanted it to properly hold the knife in place. You can kinda see some white spots where the clamps were.

Now to find some time and good weather to get out there and use them.
