Does anyone know if something like this exists, but made of mosquito netting / no see um mesh (obviously with end caps)

http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/CAMP232-1.html

I'm looking for something simple that can be attached to a ridgeline between two trees, but something that will allow a breeze to pass through in hot climates, yet small enough when folded up to fit into a cargo pocket.

I've searched around and found a couple of things out there, such as a net designed to go over the head of a sleeping bag but leaving the rest exposed, or a large square one designed to go around a cot but that's not exactly what I need either.

Regards

Something like this maybe? Only thing that really comes to mind

Sort of... I'm hoping to be able to set this up underneath a tarp in lean-to configuration, which is already utilizing a line between trees, so the central apex might be problematic. I agree though that might be the closest thing I'll be able to find... now that I think about it though, it should be a simple enough design that I could make one myself, with a velcro entrance on one end. Thanks for the quick reply!

Yeah, that's the one I was talking about that goes over a cot. Price is definitely right, I'm sure I can modify it :D Thanks!

A great idea, an a-frame mosquito net that can be covered with the tarp that you already have. I saw one with a bathtub floor but I can't remember the maker.

I bought one from eBay that was to short it was the kind that went over a tent I wanted it for the same thing I ended up going to my local army navy and got a us issue one and it works perfect when I get home I'll take pics of the set up and post pics I can also get the us part number if you want it needs to be modified so it won't sag but it is real easy to do

This guy made his own.

Nice!

I think I found a source of no see um mesh that is fire retardant, so I might try both making one of my own, as well as modifying one of the existing products like the $10 one designed to go over a cot next time payday rolls around.

Try Black Diamond Beta Bug Shelter. I hace a Golite 5x7,sewn in floor, ridge suspension loops, zippered door,A frame style that will stash in your pocket. Bought it on closeout last summer for +/- $50. Used twice.... worked great for Georgia climate.
