Has anyone tried to rig a way to keep the cover off your face when the bivy is all closed up?

I've just pulled mine open a little bit... It can be hard to breath when it's fully closed. Im assuming that's what your referring to?

I find my MSS bivy works better when used with a tarp. Even a small tarp or poncho will allow someone access into the bivy without getting soaked by rain and you don't have to worry as much about your head.

I've heard of people packing a couple of golf balls with their bivy, and using them like you would a button rock. as in put the golf ball on the inside where it sags on your face, wrap the material around the ball, then from the outside tie the ball off to a tree limb. I've never tried it myself, but I can't imagine why it wouldn't work.

That sounds like a workable solution.
Thanks for the tip.
