What have you been up to lately ?

I restored an old axe head that someone gave me it was covered in plate rust thick slabs of it falling off.

I thought it might be dead but I think its cleaned up well I rehafted it to :) and made the mask for it.

I also got one of Duncans XL Nessy Blades and set about fitting my own handle.

Ive used green micarta and brass fittings i'm pleased at how its turned out.

The sheath was my first attempt at this style and my first attempt at wet forming and dying a sheath.

The two little knifes I'm very proud of there the first blades that I forged and handled and made the sheaths for :)

I think its got a lot of character don't you ?

Oh and I made a new sheath for my New outdoor axe to :)

Looks very good, Russ!

Those knives have a very rustic look and feel about them. Never thought they were new!
That heavily pitted axe, especially around the sharp end, might make a great wall deco. I think you shouldn't be using it anymore
 
Yeah, I'm liking the pitting left on the axe head, looks cool, the kind of cool you can't buy...
