After watching a video by averageiowaguy on youtube, i wandered into the kitchen. Grabbed my late gannys cast iron skillet, butter, pnb, grape jelly, and rooster (sriracha) sauce. Slapped all the food on two pieces of wheat bread, melted a pat of butter and grilled them fools up like a grilled cheese! Now i know this isnt a unique recipe but....OMG!!! :32::32::32: Best pnb sammies ive ever eaten...one of the best in the sandwiches overall ive ever eaten! It tickles every taste bud in your mouth... If younhave been on the fence about this one, hop off, and go to your kitchen now and join in the awesomeness!!!

Sorry, no pix....i wolfed two of them fools down faster than you can say bcusa...washed down w a canteen cup of starbucks holiday somethin or other coffee.. :36:

Buuuuurrrrrpppp!

Sounded good till you got to the Peanut Butter....I can't eat that stuff...makes me gag! Had a bad experience as a child by choking on peanut butter and that did it...30 years later...I still can't eat it! I won't eat pb cookies, pb cakes, pb crackers (Lance Toastchee, or Malt)...can't do it...the rest sounded good though...might try it with a pine apple slice and sharp cheddar!

I know it is for a lot of people...my wife eats it for lunch two or three times a week! I told her that if she ever wanted me gone, to never come home all she had to do was pack my lunch with PB&J sandwiches and I would understand that she no longer loved me and there was no need to come back home. Now I get very nervous every time she brings in a "Family Sized" jar of Skippy!!! LOL

well...I think I may just have a fried PBJ in my future fo shoe!

thanks, bro - I've been under the same rock, I guess....but I've seen the light now. :D

John...its an EPIC sandwich...just put a lil swirl of rooster sauce...just enough to barely taste it...it sounds so wrong but tastes sooooooooo right

Nube, you always come up with some very weird but very tasty sounding recipes!

Vamonos:D

PMZ

Nube....only one thing that will make that better.

And I shouldn't have to say it......:36:

I miss real PBJ sandwiches, not available in Sweden, no real jelly to be found, only jam. It's a great way to challenge your cardiovascular system!

Ah...that's the key.... Just barely.

Just made one of these and put a swirl in. You need to show how much, I just got done cursing you. It goes wrong quick obviously......

Hot sauce with PBnJ? That does sound wrong.

I like to fry up, in a similar fashion, the "Elvis" sandwich. Peanut butter, banana sliced thin, a little honey or a sprinkling of sugar, all that between two slices of white bread fried in butter. That'll make you want to smack your momma!

As far as the grilled we do pb and honey, but I do another dish sauteed onions cellery PB and chili garlic( if i have fresh chilis I add those as well) sauce low carb high protein and flavor

Lol...

I just put about 10 small dots on my families today...i put a healthy dose of ob&j on em too...

Well I had to try it, pretty darn good. First bite I wasn't sure, but by the end I was hooked. My wife did ask if I was pregnant though....

OK man. So I tried it today and was blown away. I like the hot hot stuff so I used some Goya habanero sauce. Just enough to give it a kick but not really taste or set yourself on fire. It was really great and I'll be doing this again. Fun fact: this was the first item I cooked in my new cast iron skillet I got for Christmas.

i have to make myself NOT eat them all the time stnick....

I still am thankful to AverageIowaGuy for showing me the way!

Add a layer of canned tuna and it will be even better, Have not tried one in a few years, but I have eaten hundreds of PBJ and tuna sandwiches back in my "growing" years.

In a similar vein, try a Ritz cracker, a layer of PB, and a slice of jalapeno. Yum!

Hmmm, ok im game, i'll give it a whirl tomorrow for breaky..

Kinda reminds me when i was a starving musician/bum dude living in Vancouver and my first appartement and one time i was litterally starving an alls i had was canned tomatoe soup , PJ and bread so i heated up the soup and dipped the PJ sammies in the soup and it was'nt to bad, but i only did the one time i swear:27:
