@Riverpirate , that piece was definitely worked by human hand, as evidenced by the near-parallel flaking at the top left. Several other faint flake scars can be seen elsewhere. The hole is likely a crystal "sugar" pocket commonly found in chert/flint deposits and are typically "problem children" when knapping a piece.
Definitely a keeper!! 😎
 
Just weaker material that worked out probably due to the frost/freeze theory of expansion of water.

I agree that is worked but the hole is not uniform and it appears concave.

The ring also is indicative of a second material. Cool find
