That’s cool! Definitely looks like worked stone, no idea what the hole is for but that’s a cool find!

It was some Material that didn’t turn to flint. Like a sand Substance. Maybe when making the blank for later it fell out. Maybe over time nature made it fall out. You find shell in some flint as well.
Neat find.

I can see that being a broken bearing block for a small bow drill. Might have been symmetrical at one time and one end broke off.

Mozarkite is sort of famous for fossil inclusions in knappable material. Here are several examples, not saying these are all Mozarkite, to enjoy.

@Riverpirate , that piece was definitely worked by human hand, as evidenced by the near-parallel flaking at the top left. Several other faint flake scars can be seen elsewhere. The hole is likely a crystal "sugar" pocket commonly found in chert/flint deposits and are typically "problem children" when knapping a piece.
Definitely a keeper!!

Just weaker material that worked out probably due to the frost/freeze theory of expansion of water.

I agree that is worked but the hole is not uniform and it appears concave.

The ring also is indicative of a second material. Cool find

I should clarify that I meant bulbous, it is obviously concave.
