I was able to escape into the cascades of Washington for a day. Mother Nature was kind enough to keep me dry as I explored along Denny creek up to Franklin falls.

After, William Tail and myself, hiked along the upper Snoqualmie River.

It made for a great day. Thank you for following along!

Some beautiful tenkara water pictured in the report, thanks for sharing.

Looks nice, the Cascades are high on my list.

Really nice pics there, MisterHoodoo. Need to get up there one day.

And a beautiful dog too, though not quite as purty as my female dog::bias.

Thanks for sharing.

Tommysjr, Fall city is a great location. And home to Pete Nelson, famous for his show and books on mega treehouses. He also has a B&B out there.

Thanks for taking us along.

I spent almost every weekend after high school for four years with a best friend at his great-grandfathers homestead cabin on Denny Creek. Every 4th we would climb up two monstrous cedars - one on each side of the road - and hoist up a gigantic US flag that was ...ummm...borrowed from the United States Army in S. Korea. We brought a couple generators, staging, lights and a few bands, too. Very good times to remember. The sheriff would stop by and see that we were all pretty good folks, then cruise on. Marshall Tucker Band, The Allman Bros, Eagles, etc. We messed up more good music than I can remember, but it was fun.

The cabin is still there, but I don't know what became of my ol' bud.

Back in the mid'70s I was a dinosaur. It was a political party formed when the county officials got pretty prejudiced regarding legal assembly. 'Buffalo' Don Murphy owned a valley nicknamed 'Dinosaur Valley' out towards Eatonville, we had to the letter, card carrying "political conventions", complete w/guest speakers that would bring their enterage and demonstrate their instruments. Many local "speakers" big and small, I saw Ann & Nancy Wilson just before Heart took off. Many not so local too.
Life is good, yet under appreciated when one is in their second decade of life.
