I grew up in Eastern Washington, they are each beautiful in their own way, and the varied landscape of Washington presents a multitude of adventures and challenges.Love the cascades, I was eastern half, miss it. Great adventure, looks like it was a blast.
Thanks!Best. Dog name. Ever.
William Tail and myself, hiked along...
Best. Dog name. Ever.
Thanks!
What do you call him when you're mad at him? It seems like it would be hard to shout "William Tail!" in anger.![]()
That looked great! I am expecting more trip reports! Thanks for taking us along
Back in the mid'70s I was a dinosaur. It was a political party formed when the county officials got pretty prejudiced regarding legal assembly. 'Buffalo' Don Murphy owned a valley nicknamed 'Dinosaur Valley' out towards Eatonville, we had to the letter, card carrying "political conventions", complete w/guest speakers that would bring their enterage and demonstrate their instruments. Many local "speakers" big and small, I saw Ann & Nancy Wilson just before Heart took off. Many not so local too.I spent almost every weekend after high school for four years with a best friend at his great-grandfathers homestead cabin on Denny Creek. Every 4th we would climb up two monstrous cedars - one on each side of the road - and hoist up a gigantic US flag that was ...ummm...borrowed from the United States Army in S. Korea. We brought a couple generators, staging, lights and a few bands, too. Very good times to remember. The sheriff would stop by and see that we were all pretty good folks, then cruise on. Marshall Tucker Band, The Allman Bros, Eagles, etc. We messed up more good music than I can remember, but it was fun.
The cabin is still there, but I don't know what became of my ol' bud.

Life is good, yet under appreciated when one is in their second decade of life.

Heard that!Zombie Dinosaur!
It was more fun being 20 in the ‘70s than it is being 70 in the ‘20s.
That is all . . .
