Anyone ever tried Kirkland Merino Wool socks?

I've pretty much switched to synthetic moisture wicking socks. Although thin they seem much warmer in the winter while at work.

I do have the Merino too. They seem to move around too much either twist or fall down and wad up in the toe. Maybe I just walk funny.

I roll the top down over the top of my 10" loggers, they never move.

And yes, I wear the loggers with shorts in the summer.

Costco has this 6 pack of wool socks for $22 bucks. Are they any good or should I look elsewhere for wool socks?

My girlfriend got a couple pairs and loves them. But for some strange reason the women's version has a much higher percentage wool than the men's version, so I never bought a pair myself. I'm sure they're still fine, I'm just a bit of a snob when it comes to wool.

Edit: you can see here the women's version has 85% wool, while the one you posted is only 57%

I bought a pack of those. They are good socks, but too tight at the top for my taste. I just kind of fold them back down after pullting them on and it seems to works well. Good deal for the money.

I don't know why but the Lumberjack song just started playing in head. :)

I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK. I sleep all night, I work all day.

I had the older gray version of these for years. Those were fantastic for the money. I don’t know about these yet. I seem to remember the wool content being a little higher though. 57% should still be good. A little synthetic is good in a wool blend, but too much synthetic in a wool blend ruins them. Still looks like a good price for what you get though.

The material is really nice on Kirkland socks. Fit is too snug for me. I don't hate buying socks that are too small as I can always give them to my Mom or Niece. They own a bunch of premium hiking socks that didn't fit me and I can live with that.

I’m gonna have to pick me up some of these for this winter.

I used to have the ones from Sams Club which were slightly thicker than these Costco ones but they ended up shrinking because I stupidly put them in the dryer.

They didn't work for me, balled up in the toes. Went with darn tough, much more expensive but good so far. Hopefully they honor the warranty if they wear out.

Well I went to Costco Friday to get some but I was thinking they were the trail socks that they used to sell but they are not.

Anyone know how they would differ?

I got some of this new version last year and they're wearing better than the old 73% ones did. They look more dressy, but are still a decent mid-weight sock.
That said, they're not as cushioning as the previous version - or the Sam's version.(which has also gone to a similar blend)

I had the Sams Version a long time ago. They were great until they shrunk.

Yup. That's the issue I had with the old style Kirkland socks. The new style hasn't shrunk so badly yet
