Bolt action .22 rifles

The older I get the more I grab one of my .22LR rifles.
I have quite a few but the ones I seem to reach for the most are one of these two. I am 65 and grew up with walnut and blued steel.
The Ruger 7722 is a fine rifle with its Leupold EFR but it gets shamed by this Tikka T1X.

My Browning T Bolt from Christmas of 1969. I restocked it while in college, dimensions taken from the Ruger NO1 because it fit me perfectly. This rifle has taken untold squirrels and barn pigeons for me.

I really like Remington my M33 and Winchester 67s as well.

My first rifle was a H&R Pioneer, single shot, bolt action, 22LR. Put lots of rounds through that rifle to manage the ground hog population at nearby farms. Had that rifle for a few years, and then traded it for something with a little more firepower.

I thought I had beaten the collecting addiction. I was clean for 5 years. Then I started buying 22 bolt guns. Latest was a Mossberg 144 lsb. Before that, a chipmunk, before that a match barrel for my contender ( it’s the second one), and before that a CZ452. Is there a support group out there?

Old hardware store guns make me happy. Something about them as utilitarian tools appeals. It helps that a ton of them were super well made, truly they dont make them like they used to!

This Springfield/Savage 120A isnt mine anymore, but I miss it!

Dad gave me a Remington 581 for my 15th birthday. It's a tack driver. It's only ever killed old cans & paper.
Mrs bought Daughter a pink stocked Cricket when she turned 10; 15 years ago. (I need to have it looked at, we have to force the rounds in and out of the chamber.)

My only 2 bolt actions black is 22 magnum Crickett Orange is Savage Rascal in 22 . I just ordered a Crickett in 22 LR pink

My pride and joy, CZ455 fs with Tech Sights. Also have a 457 with a Leupold 2-7 but no pictures at the moment. I think my .22s see more woods time throughout the year than any of my other firearms.

I have one of the very first ones myself! Does your's have a match chamber?

I put a Boyds on mine as well. Flay aweful plastic crap it came with!!!

Mine also has extra mounting bolt, dovetail sights and tapped.

This CZ 452 Varmint .22 L.R. works its' living. Killed 53 rockchucks with it yesterday. Most rockchucks were under 100 yards away, the farthest one out was 147 yards.

I have a few...but my all time favorite .22 bolt gun is a CZ 452 American with 17 barrel that was factory threaded.. Put a Timney trigger in it and it's perfect. Scope is a 4.5-14 Leupold...
