Hey folks, looking for suggestions from any that have had issues with hip impingement or FIA. I had a colonoscopy 11 months ago and when I woke up, my right hip hurt something fierce, right where the top of the thigh meets the groin, about 2 inches deep. It slowly got better over a months time. I then had to have a second colonoscopy to remove a large flat polyp, the first hospital didn't have the equipment to do it safely. I woke up from that one with both hips hurting in the same way. Over the next 3 months, I saw Dr, went to the hospital, I did several rounds of physical therapy but it didn't help. Then the chiropractor before it finally went away. I am on a nerve pain med, Lyrica and an anti inflammatory, oral Volatarin since then.
It didn't bother me for another 7 months until about 10 days ago, and I thought I had put it behind me. I have no idea what caused it to flare up again, I didn't do anything unusual. Just moved wrong I guess but the right hip is now worse than it ever has been to where I can not walk without a cane and even that is very painful and more of a shuffle than walking. I started back today with the chiropractor and I also found some stretches online to work on with a long resistance band and also what's called a pigeon stretch but I wondered if any of you have had this issue and have any suggestions on what really worked for you as I am just guessing here. I want the pain to end, obviously but also trying to save my job.
Note: One Dr. thought I might have had a labrum tear from the positioning. Who knows. They did rule out arthritis in the hip.
