Water is NEVER a problem here, even though we're smack dab in the middle of a desert. Over 120 years ago visionary men built an irrigation system of canals that rely exclusively on gravity to bring water to this desert valley from mountains hundreds of miles away. With all our so-called "modern techology" the water delivery system we enjoy will NEVER happen again.its been a good spring so far could use so more rain here but temps have been good for fall / spring crops

i trap coyote fall and winter our rabbit population took a hit but slowly getting them back everything needs to eat but them suckers are greedy gotta thin em downWe did a little soil work today. Moved the empty rabbit burrow to outside the planned vegetable area. Used the new Garden Weasel to spread the chopped organic added in the fall. Now have a bumper crop of worms in the garden from this time last year having none. Obviously the organic addition was just what was needed.

I saw a coyote at 10:30pm last night. Haven’t seen the bunnies since, though they always seem to be around.
I listened to a book called "Coyote America" earlier this year that was entirely fascinating to me. Something he talked about within it was that the huge efforts to trap, poison, and kill coyotes during the 1800/1900s actually lead to their huge population boom and them spreading across the continental US. They will increase their litter sizes when population numbers are down.i trap coyote fall and winter our rabbit population took a hit but slowly getting them back everything needs to eat but them suckers are greedy gotta thin em down
