How about a Slipjoint Saturday thread?

Stopped by a local gun/pawn shop to see if I could find an inexpensive used holster for my inexpensive used pistol. I spotted a Frontier trapper, asked them the bottom dollar price, and paid $15.

This stockman looked like the trapper when I gave it my brother some years ago. I love that he uses it!

Flanked by a Delica 4 and a Buck Bantam (same size as the old Mini-Bucks) for size reference. A couple drops of oil got the joint loosened up (it's got a half-stop even) and 20some swipes down the old Case Crock Stick got the edge to pop again. I'm gonna work it into the rotation. Don't have to be whiz-bang tactical all the time.

It's that day again..... Little two-blade buck up top, second is an old Imperial Kamp King with a blade, a bottle opener/screwdriver and a can opener

An old Imperial Kamp King 4 blade I picked up at a gun show a few years back for next to nothing. Spear-point blade, can opener, bottle opener/flat screwdriver, and an awl. By the packaging and blade stamping I'm guessing it's 1980s vintage.

It was new in the package when I got it. I'm old enough to remember seeing these next to the cash register at the hardware store and on the shelf next to the 22 shells at gas stations (the mom and pop stations, up into the early 90s around here).

Another Imperial slip joint. This is a "Camper" model, and likely mid to late 80s vintage. My Dad got me one for Christmas when I was about 10. It was used to eat many a meal of campfire hot dogs and baked beans, and to my Mom's horror, even a few restaurant meals. At some point in the ten years following that Christmas the knife was lost. I saw one on "da bay" a couple years back and told my wife the story of getting one when I was a kid and losing it. Next thing I know I have another, thanks to her.
