Knife you're carrying right now

Thanks! It was way more work than I thought it would be. Slimming down those plastic handles was a nightmare, as was deburring all the holes, the blade mod was the easiest. Next time I may just make a new handle in micarta or Richlite. All in all though, it feels good on hand, it's light weight, slim in the pocket and it cuts like a knife should.

Yeah, the plastic on those Svord’s like to melt when using high speed tools and makes it messy and hard to look nice, but yours looks great! Micarta or richlite would be awesome! One day I may try to rehandle one of my plastic handled friction folders.

The Delica is really becoming one of my most carried blades. I need to try the deep carry clip. Never really bothered since it's a pretty unassuming and slim knife to begin with.

Did you manage that on the first try? Or did it take some tinkering? Always love seeing your work. You come up with with some really clever design ideas.

The Delica is a great knife, with plenty of variants to make about anybody happy. Honestly I prefer the standard pocket clip on the Delica, but switched to this deep carry one keep things a bit more discrete for work purposes.

Thanks! This was the first one I tried slimming down this much. I've modified a few of the mini peasants, but those were usually just reshaping the blades or adding holes to the handles. The plastic Svord uses is very similar to what Mora uses on the 511s. I've ground a few guards off those so I knew it would be sloppy and melty with a belt sander so I did most of the shaping with a slower spindle sander with a 150 grit drum, then a lot of hand sanding. I think it would have been easier on a black handle, I saved $4 on the red but probably cost myself a bit more time as it showed every little scratch and imperfection plain as day.
