Really sorry to hear about the diabetes. How the heck did you get that?
You certainly seemed fit when I met ya. And you're active...

Although if memory serves, Jay Cuttler was found to be diabetic when he was playing with Denver.
Not that that explains his erratic play and attitude through his career. Just him getting tired and they found out why.

Genetics and eating complex carbs (pizza, pasta, potatoes, etc). I'm 6'-1" #232 and active but here we are. Lol

And that's why I live the carefree lifestyle. Because you just never know.
I might even take up smoking again o_O
 
Festive lunch today: 4 minute egg,,, duck egg, from Daughter #4’s ducks,,, toasted, buttered, and peppered “soldiers”,,, a Romanian egg cup cradling a Ukrainian pysanka, (the artfully done egg was bought locally, from an elderly and charming Ukrainian lady), Russian cup, saucer, and plate, and for a German Easter flair, Osterhase on the egg cup… Enjoying many cultures, in this nation of immigrants…

Big changes after finding out I'm diabetic... even lunch on the road is low carb now.

Another thing for you to watch for is the modified food starch & maltodextrin. They are used as fillers and are in almost everything .... they cause blood sugar spikes worse than sugar & carbs .... they are the leading cause of insulin resistance ->diabetis.

Thank you for that info. I will keep my eyes open for those. Fortunately there are few fillers in salad, carrots, celery, eggs, cheese, yogurt, etc.
