Take Out Money, Top Off The Tank...

I couldn’t care less what you think about deals made by a previous presidents, or your opinion of a previous president. We’re both entitled to our opinions, regardless of if they align…. That being said, the deal you are referring was 10 years ago. It certainly doesn’t change the extraordinary cost of this war of choice on US taxpayers.

10 years is not that long ago, and those "deals" and that kind of politician are the reason we are where we are today. Corrupt. Weak. Unpatriotic.

You can say you don't care but that really doesn't ring true. You seem really mad in every thread that turns the least bit political AND you are often the one who turns them political.

I am not overly concerned with any remnants of Iran's capability to harm US assets.... Most of their capability was home grown and home directed.... The big ticket items, Bank runs, Interruptions in Natural gas and oil exports, EMP strikes and dirty bombs.... all these things are worrisome and within the realm of possibilities, but are not likely courses of action. Iran's MO, which they learned from China's CCP, is plausible deniability..... small stuff that traces back to local command and control groups which are difficcult to directly connect to any sort of guidance from the Mullahs themselves... China established dozens of Chinese Security (Police) offices in the US....right there, right out in the open.... China established transportation routes and Hostels for weary invaders through out Central and South America, as well as Happy Chinese Villages ( which bore striking similarities to military bases....?) AT BOTH ENDS of the PANAMA CANAL..... right there, out in the wide open! The differences between China's ability to harbor it's invaders/ poor downtrodden immigrants, and Iran's ability to harbor and direct IT's invaders was that Iran's invaders had zero support in the ex-pat Iranian Population in the US... as a result, command and control, and the harboring of most of the Islamist terrorists who Joe Biden flew directly into the interior of the US, was handled locally, by extant networks already established here in the US. Most of these assets were not necessarily Iranians, but there were an awful lot of radicalized Middle Easterners who Iran did support under the table, and who had no issues being harbored in various other centers of Middle Eastern populations. The shooter in Texas could be either one of those who at some point was assisted to come to the US after being identified as a possible asset, or who got to the US and was then groomed and radicalized.... just because there will be no direct connection to Iran identified and proven, that such connection might be there becomes a moot point. And that is much more in line with actions in the US sponsored by Iran....

This is definitely a time for studying and incorporating Jeff Cooper's Principles of Personal Defense. If you do not have a copy of that book, get one. Learn Cooper's color codes of mental awareness. It's the best system for practicing mental awareness across a spectrum of situations.... and situational awareness is key to navigating todays complex world. I am not concerned about all the horrors that the rapidly dwindling Chain of Command in the IRGC would love to bring down on our United States. I am concerned with the probability that I may encounter deranged and radicalized actors who just wish to perpetrate evil on everyday Americans. My gas tanks are filled more frequently, and I have enough of a supply to get me to my prepped bug out location. I can shelter in place if need be. And my attention to preparation does not distract me from the joys of my daily life.

Keep the faith.... and let your faith keep you!

And what does how you feel about my posts have to do with the 60+ billion $ that this will cost US taxpayers, which is above and beyond the tariff taxes we are already being burdened with?

I'm a slow learner. I don't usually engage in this political arguing and I wish I hadn't here. We are not going to agree and I'm fine with that. Apologies for sounding rude. I'm going to go outside. I hope you have a great rest of your day and sincerest apologies once again.

Europe has 25 days before there's a serious energy crisis. We'll be totally reliant on US exports, and President Trump could wake up one morning and want to punish the Europeans, or that oil and gas is needed at home and then Europe will have no choice but to beg Russia for forgiveness and to start selling them energy again.

Spain to suffer economic consequences for not supporting the war and allowing the US military use of its bases.

Iranian schools, hospitals (hit twice so not by mistake, so a war crime), TV stations, police stations and a cafe where those opposed to the government meet, all struck by missiles. The price of freedom...

Talk of Kurdish and ISIS mercenaries with US special forces being mobilised to create a civil war.

Questionable legality and dubious reasons for the war, no talks with the UN security council, no comment to the General assembly, no vote for war by your own politicians.

"We (the USA) attacked first because Israel was going to attack first, and we didn't want to be attacked"...

No provision for the tens of thousands of Westerners trying to flee the region.

If as some want, Russia has to pay compensation and reconstruction costs to Ukraine, will Israel and the USA do the same for Iran?

It seems religious zealots aren't confined to Iran, a US military commander told his NCO's that "President Trump has been anointed by God to cause Armageddon"... thank you for your attention, President Trump approves of this message.

The US military is now going around the world asking for air defence systems. Not even a week into the war and more missile interceptors are needed.

Is the only off ramp total regime change and unconditional surrender? Last year the Houthis lasted 7 weeks of bombardment and then after nearly $1 billion of damage done to the US navy it sailed away.... and the Houthi are still there.

Anyone remember the early "success" of Afghanistan and Iraq, how it was going to be a quick easy victory? How these people were evil and they'd be bombed back to the stone age. What happens if the Iranians resist? How long are you prepared to fight them and at what cost?

It's good to look at the cost of doing something but there is often a cost associated with doing nothing. Iran has cost us and likely would have cost us in the future. I don't suppose that I have the means to put a number to it. Likewise the trade deficit costs us. Here to, I don't know how much but things have sure changed (not for the better) as the trade deficit has grown. I think it's good that somebody is finally trying to do something.

Why isn't Europe falling back on its massive sustainable renewable energy program to see itself through the crisis?

And the EU has adequately maintained the necessary levels of its own SPR (Strategic Petroleum Reserve) - as is mandated by the EU's Oil Stocks Directive, hasn't it ? 😏

I think Europe has been buying energy from Russia all along. If and when European countries need energy from the US I hope our government remember the lack of support we're getting from them.

And sure, they can just switch on their batteries, solar panels and wind mills. Shouldn't be a problem.

Have you been listening to Tucker Carlson again? Maybe NPR or Rachel Maddow? I warned you about that clickbait. LOL

I'd rather us pay it with taxpayer dollars now than with taxpayer bodies later after a nuclear attack.

Of course, who wouldn’t, but that’s the rub…. There is no evidence that there was an imminent threat to the US, we are being told changing reasons for going to war from the administration, and no clearly defined end game has been identified.

presidents are like wives, they already have a plan, they're just looking for an excuse.

Hmm...
Did the members of PM Neville Chamberlain's cabinet repeatedly tell him " There is no evidence that there was an imminent threat " ?

Let’s stick to what we know in 2026… Typically, preemptive strikes are used against an anticipated attack. There has been zero evidence of an imminent threat presented to the US public, or politicians for that matter, to justify a war.

US Oil reserves 2005-2016= roughly 700 million barrels, US Oil reserves currently 400 million barrels. Bad time to be caught short.

Just my opinion but I see a snowballs chance in Hell of Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis(what is with the H's?), much less Russia and China allowing a freely elected government in Iran.

Petro is one of those things a person really cannot "stock up" on or protect ourselves from price spikes. This is not going to be a one week or one month problem. You can stock up on other items with long shelf life to offset the higher cost of gas in the coming months. Personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning supplies et cetera. Then when gas is 5.00 per gallon, at least you do not have to buy the other stuff as well. I keep at least a three month positive credit on my utility accounts, also helps to offset sudden cash drains by allowing me to skip, pay late or pay partial of the current bill.

I don't think that's true. Does Iran have ballistic missiles? Do they use them? Do we know that they've been working on developing a nuclear weapon? There's a bunch of reasons to believe that's true. Have they or their proxies attacked us, our allies or our assets in the past? Do we have any reason to think they won't do it again? Have they stated their wish to see us dead?

There has never been so much justification to go to war. The only real question is why did it take us 40+ years to do it?

It's not the Houthi's you need to worry about, it's the Blowfish ... especially the drummer ... o_O

Biden drained our reserves.

I don't pay utilities ahead. I have the money but I keep someplace where it will earn a return. The utility company doesn't pay me anything for holding my money.

Or the EU could've still had the option of Nordstream had the US not have blown it up.

No, I've been listening to common sense not wishful thinking.

Face it, the Donald Trump who promised you no more wars has been stolen by the Epstein club. And a war that might last just days could be as disastrous as the ones that have happened over the last 25yrs.

I'd be as happy as the rest of you if the Iranian people could enjoy western freedom and be just like us and become Godless heathens, with vast national debt, drugged out zombie homeless, school massacres, obese uneducated children and their own mega rich politicians who lick the boots of their satanic paedophile donor class.
