Tarp/bivy/swag/backpacking tent questions

Thats genius!

Drape the entire thing in but netting and it might help to break up outline/camo you up a little.

Huh.

I wasnt able to finish the entire video yet, but im curious how it does vs a poncho/ridgeline combo

This is my current “traveling light on a budget” set up. The little pop up bivy thing has a bigger footprint than I’d like, but it’s fairly inexpensive, keeps the bugs away, and sets up quickly.

In my typical neck of the woods rain and insects are often a concern, so I like being enclosed and having a tarp handy.

If I know the rain is really gonna come down or it’s going to be cold I go with my backpacking tent.IMG_6316.jpegIMG_6280.jpegIMG_6451.jpegIMG_6634.jpegIMG_5825.jpeg

Thats cool lookin! Off to google I go XD

Im thinkin a bug bivy/tarp/ridgeline is the way to go here for lightest/fastest

If i had an extra 400ish I saw an australian swag with a built in bug net that looked cool.

So many choices to test, so little time and money! XD

I wish I could tell you where this came from, but I got it on the trade blanket here. Great little pup tent style bug net, with end and side entry zippers.

Perfect size for me. I think it weights in around 8oz.
