What is the most useful keychain EDC tool ?


I don't carry a keychain anymore, my Jeep keys are under the floormat and my work van is keyless with a fob that I hangs from my belt, my house is unlocked. And I never have liked keys in my pocket or anything extra on the ring.

So mine is not really a keychain tool, but it fits the same usage concept.

But I tend to carry a small pocket screwdriver with a clip most of the time.
It's a light duty pry tool, a scraper, a poker, a prodder, a pick, a scribe, a scratch awl, a thread chasing tool, a package opener, a letter opener, a temporary shim, a crappy chisel, heck I've even pressed it into service as a screwdriver a couple times.
I probably use it as much if not more than my pocket knife throughout the day.

Flashlight in the past, but now between my edc pocket light and my phone flashlight, I no longer need one on my keys. The battery in my keychain light leaked and I haven't gotten around to cleaning it up so it's stashed elsewhere for now.

Had SAK Classic Alox there for a while but it made the key ring clumsier than I liked. So no tools at the moment.

It's smaller and nicer than similar things I've seen at hardware stores. It comes up on their Daily Drop (i.e. 50% off) now and then so I got it that way.

A Military P38 can opener, small but loud purple emergency whistle, a magnifying glass with a self-retractable cord, a Matchless lighter (will include photo), and a purple Lucky Rabbit's foot so I can find the damn keys to begin with from far away. The keychain is always attached to my EDC small sling bag.

The most used item is the magnifying glass, as I use it daily when I am at the supermarket to read nutritional info and prices. The matchless lighter being 2nd most used, then whistle then can opener.
